Lagg Distillery Orchard Cider

Crafted with the same respect for heritage and flavour that defines our whisky, the Lagg Distillery Orchard Cider is a seasonal celebration of characterful apples and honest fermentation. 2026's batch contains predominantly a mix of fermented apple juice from our own orchard all Lagg, combined with juice from Ayrshire Riviera's own crop – the mix contributing to a drink with real depth, structure and complexity.
Unfiltered, bone dry, and proudly free from unnecessary intervention, this cider is best enjoyed not ice-cold but gently chilled – allowing its full orchard character to emerge.
Talking about last year's batch, cider writer and enthusiast Jack Toye describes our latest cider release as:
A characterful, idiosyncratically honest orchard blend cider, with tannins and leathery notes at play. As at home in the Three Counties as in North Ayrshire and the Isle of Arran.
He continues:
Bravo Lagg for presenting cider in this honest, unadulterated, expressive manner again! A lemon jelly hue with a soft haze and aromas of freshly peeled apple skin, Amalfi lemons, and apple crumble. The palate is bone dry with soft tannins and a really good mouthfeel. It becomes more expressive as it warms up – definitely a barn temperature over fridge temperature cider.
We hope you enjoy this cider as much as we’ve enjoyed making it. It’s a little different, just like us — and that’s exactly the point.
