Lagg Single Malt Small Batch: Tequila Finish

The Lagg Single Malt Small Batch Tequila Finish is an incredibly unique whisky, available exclusively here and at Lagg Distillery on the Isle of Arran.

This Lagg Single Malt started life maturing in 80% first-fill bourbon barrels and 20% second-fill bourbon barrels for three years. It was then vatted and finished in fresh tequila barrels.

The use of tequila in our maturation represents a landmark moment for us, as it's the first time Isle of Arran Distillers has ever used tequila casks since our inception in 1995. The interesting combination of the wood with our Lagg new make spirit creates a robust, oily and smoky character within a truly fresh and exciting Single Malt.
